Being healthy means being physically,socially,mentally fit and active and ready for any situations to perform effectively.

Disease free means being free from various health problems or diseases but the person may have other disorders.

The basic differences are -

1.Healthy refers to the state of being complete mental, physical and social well being, not merely the absence of any disease or infirmity.
But, disease - free means free from any kind of imbalance in our body.

2.A healthy person is disease free.
But a disease - free person is not always healthy.
For example, if a person is suffering from mental stress, he can be called as disease - free but not healthy.
