What is the difference between binary fission and multiple fission ?

Binary fission:
The parent cell gets divided into two equal daughter cells by mitosis.The cell can divide in plane.
Multiple fission:
The nucleus undergoes multiple nuclier division to form many daughter nuclei. The cytoplasm also divides thus giving rise to daughter cells.

BINARY FISSION :-

1. it occurs when the environment condition is favourable for the organism

2. There is no protection covering formed outside the cell.

3. Only two new organism are formed by this type of reproduction.

MULTIPLE FISSION:-

1. it occurs when the environment condition are unfavourable for the organism.

2. A protection covering called cyst is formed outside the cell.

3. Many new individual are formed by this type of reproduction.
