The basic difference between biodegradable and non-biodegradable is that biodegradable items decompose or break down naturally. Non-biodegradable items don't. This particular difference is most important when discussing landfills and waste disposal. Large volumes of non-biodegradable waste take up excess waste and are potentially damaging to the environment.

The difference between biodegradable anf non-biodegradble plastic is biodegradable plastic is it can be decomposed easily and it takea less time to decompose.Whereas in non-biodegradable plastic it would take more time and it would lead to soil erosion and infertility.
