Block mountain and Rift Valley.

Explanation:

  • A block mountain is also called a fault mountain and has very large blocks of rocks and they extend into hundreds of kilometers that are created by the tectonic and local stress.
  • The largest part is called as the crustal blocks and are broken off by the tectonic plates due to the vertical movement of the blocks creates a slip and strike fault.
  • They can produce landforms like the mountains, hills and ridges, lakes and valleys. An example of the death valley of California.
  • A rift valley is a linear form of lowland between the several highlands mountain ranges created by the action of the geological rifts or faults. They are formed by the divergence plate boundary
  • Examples include the mid-oceanic ridges, eastern pacific rise and the Africa rift valley.
