The difference between border and shading is that
Border is something that goes around the object.
Shading is like to colour the object.
I hope it helps

While bordering is forming an edge, shading is filling of pattern inside the shape.
- Bordering is typically a line outlined around the sheet's edge.
- It should be a dark line and is often a few millimetres in from the sheet's edge on either side.
- It is done to make the drawing page seem better.
- Whereas, in order to give the appearance of shape, space, and most crucially, light in a drawing, shading is the act of adding value.
- When done well, shading may give a design a three-dimensional appearance and provide a believable image.
