BRYOPHYTA

• The plant body is either thallus - like(thalloid) or leaf like (foliose) .

• True leaves and roots are lacking the plants are anchored to the soil by means of filamentous rhizoids .

• The vascular tissues are absent in plant cell therefore, they remain short in stature .

PTERIDOPHYTA

• They are the first land plants .

• The plant body is differentiated

into roots , stem and leaves .
