what is the difference between cells in onion peel and cells in spinach

Spinach cells (green leaves)  contain chlorophyll  green pigment, as long as the leaf or plant is alive.   Onion skin cells are dead cells.  They do not contain chlorophyll.  But they contain another color pigment : leucoplasts.
