Aerobic respiration is a process when you carry out cellular respiration, oxidation of food molecules in the presence of oxygen to produce chemical energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate, carbon dioxide and water. Combustion whereas is using oxygen to burn things. Fire in layman terms.
