centripetal force is the force acting on the centre of the body in uniform circular motion whereas centrifugal force is the force acting away from the centre of the body in uniform circular motion

CENTRIPETAL FORCE IS A FORCE WHICH ACTS ON A BODY WHEN IT IS IN CIRCULAR MOTION.FC=MV^2\R.IT IS ALWAYS TANGENTIAL. CENTRIFUGAL FORCE IS AN IMAGINARY FORCE WHICH COMES INTO ACT WHEN CENTRIPETAL FORCE IS NOT SUFFICIENT.IE IT ALSO ACTS DURING CIRCULAR MOTION.
