Each cerebral hemispheres is hollow and has two regions outer region called cortex that contains cell bodies of neuron and is called gray matter. The inner portion is called medulla and contains axons of neurons and forms the white matter. The gray matter is folded into folds (gyri) and grooves (sulci).
