In brief, the main difference between quantum and classical physics is the difference between a ramp and a staircase. In classical mechanics, events (in general) are continuous, which is to say they move in smooth, orderly and predictable patterns. Projectile motion is a good example of classical mechanics.

Classical statistics are a limiting case of quantum statistics. In the regime of relatively high energies(not as high as the energies that high-energy physicists study) with respect to the temperature of a system, quantum statistics go to classical statistics. In most cases, higher energies come with higher temperature.
