Class mark: Mid-value of each class interval is called its class mark.

Class mark = ½ (Upper limit + Lower limit)

eg:-

For the class interval 10 - 20

Class mark = (10 + 20)/2

= 30/2 = 15

Mid -value: It is the average of the lower limit and the upper limit of a class

Example:

Lower limit of the first class(0-10) is 0 and the upper limit is 10. Therefore, mid-value of the first class is 0+10 / 2 i.e., 5. Similarly; other mid—values have been worked out
