Climate is (obsolete) an area of the earth's surface between two parallels of latitude while season is each of the four divisions of a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter; yeartide.

The climate of a place is the weather conditions prevailing in general for a long period of time.

Season is the weather condition prevailing in an area for a short period of time.
