What is the difference between co channel and adjacent channel interference?

In co-channel interference, the interference that occurs is the crosstalk from two distinct radio transmitters that have the same frequency.


In adjacent-channel interference, the interference results because of extraneous power that is received from a signal in a channel next to the one that experiences the interference.
