Answer:

A convex lens is thicker at the centre and thinner at the edges. A concave lens is thicker at the edges and thinner at the centre. Due to the converging rays, it is called a converging lens. Due to the diverging rays, it is called a diverging lens.

The fundamental difference between them is :-

Concave Mirror:- The reflective surface of a concave mirror is inside the sphere and that of a convex mirror is outside.

Convex mirror: The outer surface of the spherical mirror is reflecting. The image formed is always smaller than the actual size.
