Answer:

It is very simple to differentiate. Let’s review the basic deflnition of Conductor and insulator for the better understanding.

A conductor is something that allows the current or electricity to pass through it.

For example:

We have Metals, wires, water (Tap water), Human body etc, these things are considered as the conductors because they can easily allow the flow of current through it.

An Insulator is something that doesn't allow the current or electricity to pass through it.

For example:

We have plastics, clothes, rubber, glass, PVC, wood, bricks, paper stones, etc, these things are considered as the insulators because they do not allow the current to pass through it

When we are performing any electrical test or commissioning test of an electrical power system then we must need to wear a special suit, face shield and highly insulated Rubber shoes to protect ourselves.

In this way, the current will not complete the

circuit from the body to the ground, and hence we will be saved.
