They are the materials in which electricity can pass .
they are the good source of electicity
eg silver ,gold , lead

insulator
They are the materials in which electricity can not pass
they are bad source of electicity
eg plastic , rubber, wood

1)allow electric current to pass through them
2)they have large number of free ions
3)they are generally metals.

eg - aluminum

insulators-

1)does not allow electric current to pass through them
2)they have small number of free ions
3)they are generally non metals

eg - glass
