Coniferous forests are dominated by trees with pine needles like Doug fir, hemlock, sugar pine, etc. Usually in temperate zones like Washington State, Maine, and Oregon.



Evergreen forests are effectively jungles they usually never see temperatures below 18 degrees Celsius and receive a ridiculous amount of rain. So, they are in a constant state of growth and always green. Think equator.
