-They have different molar mass. The molar mass of hydrocortisone is 362.460 g / mol. However the molar mass of cortisone is 360.45 g· mol-1.

- They both are different in chemical structure. Such as hydrocortisone has an aldehyde group attached to the 17th carbon of the steroid core carbon skeleton while cortisone has a ketone group instead.

Hope it helps you :)

Treats itchy or irritated skin.

Upsides

Relieves itchy and irritated skin.

Doesn't cause the same types of side effects that oral forms of steroids do.

It's available over the counter in the drugstore.

Most people have very few side effects.

Downsides

It's not a strong steroid, so it doesn't work for everyone.

When used longer than a week, it can cause skin-thinning and make it harder for broken skin to heal.
