Data compression or data condensation has more or less the same literal meaning. Both words mean to reduce the data file size or volume. However, in computer dictionary, the term data compression means encoding the data to reduce the file size before transmission or archiving.
data reduction:
Data reduction is the transformation of numerical or alphabetical digital information derived empirically or experimentally into a corrected, ordered, and simplified form. The basic concept is the reduction of multitudinous amounts of data down to the meaningful parts.
example:
in condensation or compression mean we compress the data with a software like winrar 7z etc
and in reduction me proccess on a data meaning less data or we transform like 5 cout<< transform to loop recursion etc
