what is the difference between day and night hardly felt in kanyaKumari but not so in kashmir

It depends upon latitude. Place close to equator have similar duration between days and nights and places towards poles have huge difference (equator has equal duration of days and nights, however poles have 6mounths of days or vise verse). Here Kashmir is away from equator i.e., higher latitude and Kanyakumary is close to equator i.e., lower latitude.
