Answer:

Explanation:

In a democratic nation, the government is accountable to the citizens. It is responsive to the needs and expectations of the citizens. Moreover, the government is efficient and effective. The democratic governments work on the principle of deliberation and negotiation, so delays take place.

Whereas, A non-democratic government does not bother about the discussions in assemblies. They never take public opinion and are quick in decision making and implementation. On the other hand, the democratic governments, follow all the procedures and then come to a decision. As a result, the decision is more effective and acceptable to people.

Democratic form of govt. is better government because of the following reasons:-

(i)Sharing of power between different political parties.

(ii)It reduces the possibility of conflicts such as civil war between different social groups.

As in Srilanka it happened but not in Belgium because of sharing of power among linguistic groups (French and Dutch).

(iii)Democratic government will bring out better outcomes and it emphasise the very fact of power sharing as valuable.
