What is the difference between diabetes insipidus and diuresis??

Diabetes means passing out excessive amounts of urine.

There are two types of diabetes:

> Diabetes insipidus : There is no sugar in urine. This is caused due to the deficiency of ADH(Antidiuretic hormone).

> Diabetes mellitus( or diuresis) : The urine contains more amount of sugar. This is caused due to the undersecretion of insulin.
