A stereotype is a widely held belief or idea that is an oversimplified image used to label certain things, people etc. For eg: women take care of the house is a stereotype as there is a widely held belief that women should only do housework in many places.
Discrimination is the unjust or bad treatment of somebody or something because of factors like their caste, creed, religion etc. For eg: Treating only dark skinned people unfairly is discrimination against them due to their skin colour.
