Discrimination based on religion means on the basis of their religion or their religious activities people are excluded from living of better life. Eg people who are Muslim are not allowed to enter Hindu temple. this is discrimination based on religion.

let's talk about discrimination based on gender means having a great gap between male and female. for Eg in some country women are not allowed to vote. this is discrimination based on gender means giving more preference to males.
