Displacement Reaction:-

It is a type of chemical reaction where an element reacts with a compound and takes the place of another element in that compound is called displacement reaction.

Ex:-

Zn(s) + CuSO4(aq) ⇾ ZnSO4 (aq) + Cu(s)

Double Displacement Reaction:-

The reaction in which two different ions of atoms are displaced by each other is called double displacement reaction.

Ex:-

AgNO3 (aq) + NaBr (aq) ⇾ AgBr ↓ + NaNO3 (aq)
