displacement reaction is a reaction in which an element occupies the place of the other element.
double displacement reaction is a reaction in which the elements exchange their places in the chemical reaction.

☺ Hello mate__ ❤

◾◾here is your answer...

✒DEFINITION OF DISPLACEMENT REACTION::--

In a displacement reaction, a more reactive element replaces a less reactive element from a compound.

i.e. A + BX. -----> AX + B

where A is more reactive than B

Example :-

CuSO4 + Zn --> ZnSO4 + Cu

✒DEFINITION OF DISPLACEMENT REACTION::--

In a double displacement reaction, two atoms or a group of atoms change places to form new compounds.

i.e. AB + CD ---> AC + BD

Example:--

Na2SO4 + BaCl ---> NaSO4 + 2NaCl

I hope, this will help you.
