Differences between distance  and displacement-

displacement- Its the shortest distance covered by an object from the initial position to the final position.

2. Distance- It is applicable for any distance or the direction is not fixed.
Displacement- It acts in a certain direction.

3. Distance- It is scalar quantity.
    Displacement- It is vector quantity.

4. Distance- It is always more or equal to the displacement.
