distance :-

1.distance is the length of the actual path traversed by a body irrespectively of its direction of motion .
2.distance between two given. Maybe same or different for different path chosen .
3.it is scalar quantity .
4 .distance covered is always positive or zero .

displacement :-

1.displacement is the shortest distance between the initial and the final position of a body is given direction .
2. displacement between two given point is always same .
3.it is a vector quantity .
4.displacement covered may be positive negative or zero .
