Distance is the total measure taken from Initial position to Final position.
Wheras Displacement is the shortest distance between Initial position and final position.

1...shortest lemgth between two points
2..SI unit is metre
3...it is a vector quantity
4...it is positive ...negative... zero :)(when a body starts from its initial position and it reaches to its final position and its final position is just back to inital position then the displacement becomes negative :)
