Distance is the measurement of the path travelled but displacement is he shortest distance.

- it is a scalar quantity
- it cannot be negative
- it is always more than displacement
- it cannot be reduced it will always increase
displacement
- it is a vector quantity
- it can be negative as negative shows direction
- it is always less than distance as it is the shortest path between two points
- it can be reduced .
