Dispacement:
1. It is the shortest distance between the initial and final position.
2. It can be zero
3. it is always less than or equal to the distance


Distance :
1. The total length of the path covered by the object
2. It can never be zero.
3.It is always greater than or equal to displacement

distance is actual path covered by a body and displacement is shortest distance covered by a body.
Distance is scalar quantity and displacement is vector quantity.
distance can't be negative and displacement can be negative.
