Destructive distillation comprises of extracting various  substances from a substance like coal that gives coke. Distillation means when you separate unwanted substances from water. I'm not alcoholic so I don't care of separating alcohol from water

Dryoudontknow: Sorry For the last sentence
Dryoudontknow: well it is true
Verma1111: is destructive distillation same as fractional distillation??
Dryoudontknow: no destructive involves with the mineral resources like petrol and coal

Distillation is a method used to separate compounds from a mixture. It is based on the boiling points of the components in the mixture

If the components in the mixture have closer boiling points then fractional distillation method is used

alchohol can be separated from water by fractional distillation
