What is the difference between dnc and cnc?

Dnc is more like a protocol used to send programs to the cnc machine. Sometimes programs are programmed externally and have to be send to the machine. ... Or, the program is too big for the machines memory and will be dripfeed to the machine. Also, DNC is used for this.
