Clinical Thermometer:-

This thermometer is used to measure body temperature.

• Temperature range of this thermometer is from 35°c - 42°c.

• The mercury inside the thermometer tells us the temperature of a body.

Laboratory Thermometer:-

• This thermometer is used to measure temperatures of reaction and isolated containers except human bodies.

• This thermometer ranges from -10°c to 110°c.

• Laboratory thermometers are designed for lab purposes such as checking boiling point, freezing point, or temperature of other substances.

Difference

Clinical thermometer

  • it is used to measure body tempratur
  • it's range is -40°c to 35°c
  • it contains mercury which is shining helps in reading the thermometer and it can't contract too.
  • the bulb made up of steel is the tip portion .

Laboratory thermometer

it is used measure the tempratur of reaction .

This type of thermometer range is not high like clinical .

This type of thermometer mostly used in non - living thing .
