Dry point sites:
A dry point site is one that is slightly raised from the surrounding area, meaning that it is less likely to flood.

Wet point sites:
This refers to any site that has access to water, usually through being beside a river. Towns would either grow up along the river or clustered near the point at which the river enters the sea.

Answer:

Dry point settlement- is one that is barely raised from the surrounding area, that means that it's far much less probably to flood.

Wet point settlement- refers to any site that gets entry to to water, commonly thru being beside a river.

Explanation:

Site is the region wherein the settlement is located, eg on a hill or in a sheltered valley. Situation describes wherein the settlement is when it comes to different settlements and the functions of the surrounding area, eg is the settlement surrounded by forest?

Some of the elements which have positive influence on growing a human settlement are water supply, flat and arable land, protection, shelter from weather, bridging factor, crossroad – intersection of roads, even as land that floods, marshy or steep land, no protection, no constructing or water supply.

A drypoint has the advantages of flood protection, fertile soil, and fairly flat land which is good for agriculture and constructing. Hence, one can actually easily conclude that “Drypoint” settlements are not unusualplace withinside the Deltas area. River valleys, lakes, and ponds are examples of moist points.
