⚫ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES

✔️Economic activities are two activities which includes production and exchange of goods and service with a motive to earn money.

✔️Money is the main consideration for these activities.

✔️Production or the income arrived from these activities are calculated in national income.

✔️Eg:- A lady as a teacher teaching in school.

⚫NON - ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES

✔️This refers to those activities which are conducted without the motive of earning money.

✔️Self satisfaction is the main consideration.

✔️Production is basically done for self consumption and hence not included in national income.

✔️Eg:- A lady as a mother teaching a child at home.

Economic Activities :-

  • These activities give an income in return.
  • These are done to earn a livelihood.
  • For Example :- People going for work in factories ,farm , banks, hospitals,schools,etc.

Non Economic Activites :-

  • These activities do not give any income in return.
  • These are done out of compassion ,love and care.
  • For Example:- Doing social work, helping the poor, going to temple etc.
