An endangered species are those species which are at the verge of extinction or has been categorized as very likely to become extinct in the near future. If the endangered species are not protected and reproduce it will extinct in few years.

Example: Bengal Tiger, Blue Whale

Extinct species are the species of the organism that have become extinct completely from the environment. It occurs when there is no any individual of that species is found alive anywhere in the world.

Example: Dodo
