ETHANOL
Ethanol has the chemical equation as CH3-CH2OH
It is a Saturated compound, as it forms Single bond
ETHENE ALCOHOL
Ethene Alcohol would have chemical equation as CH2=CH-OH
It is an Unsaturated compound, as it forms Double Bond.

(i) ethanol is second member of homologous series of alcohol but ethanoic acid is second member of homologous series of carboxylic acids.
(ii) ethanol is a colourless liquid having a pleasant smell and burning taste but ethanoic acid is also colourless but having sour taste and a smell of vinegar.
(iii) ethanol is covalent compound so it is a neutal compound hence it donot affect litmus solution but ethanoic acid is acidic in nature so it turn blue litmus solution red.
