What is the difference between evaporation and boiling​

evaporation mean when water changes in water vapors on heating it takes place when water crosses its boiling point and boiling mean when water is heated up to its boiling point means 100 degrees Celsius

Difference between:-

1. Evaporation:-

  • Evaporation take place spontaneously at all temperature.
  • It takes place only from the surface of liquid.
  • It is a surface phenomenon.
  • It starts from surface of container.
  • It causes cooling effect.
  • It is a slow process.

2. Boiling:-

  • Boiling take place at a particular temperature where vapour pressure become equal to atmospheric pressure.
  • Boiling point involved in formation of bubble of the vapour below the surface of the liquid.
  • It is a bul phenomenon
  • It starts from bottom of container.
  • It doesn't cause cooling effect.
  • It is a fast process.
