Evaporation takes place all over the surface of the conatainer. While,Boling takes place only at the bottom of the container! Hope it will help you.

Boiling-1) it is a bulk phenomenon. 2) it requires an external heat medium. 3) it does not cause cooling. 4) it occurs at a specific temperature.
