What is the difference between Ferrel's law and Coriolis force?

Ferrel's law is the law that wind is deflected to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere. Its a geographical law in physics we don't deal with it instead we use coriolis force. ... However, a force is necessary to alter the angular momentum of any object.

When Newton's laws are transformed to a rotating frame of reference, the Coriolis forceand centrifugal force appear. Both forces are proportional to the mass of the object. The Coriolis force is proportional to the rotation rate and the centrifugal force is proportional to the square of the rotation rate.
