There is only a little bit difference in between for and since
For<> is used to recognise date like : for 2 months
Since<> is used to recognise long period of time

Hello there
For and Since are normally used in the sentences to indicate time.
For Example For is used in some cases like
ALEKYA HAS FALLEN ILL FOR 8 DAYS
In the above sentence we using FOR to indicate time upto now.
And SINCE is used to indicate the time taken exactly mean duration of that incident.
For Example
ALEKYA HAS BEEN ILL SINCE 12TH OF THIS MONTH.
You can know that we have using the particular date and time so this will be a string difference between them.
