what is the difference between force and motion

There cannot be a force without motion and if there is no motion, then there is no force acting. (for example, students see a downward force of a book acting on a table, but they do not see an upward force of the table acting on the book.) When an object is moving the force is acting in the direction of its motion.

force:--
a force is any interaction that, when unopposed, will change the motion of an object.
A force can cause an object with mass to change its velocity (which includes to begin moving from a state of rest), i.e., to accelerate.
motion:--
motion is a change in position of an object over time.
Motion is described in terms of displacement, distance, velocity, acceleration, time and speed.
