Fragmentation is when an organism is split into fragments, and each fragment grows into complete, individual organisms that are clones of the original organism. ... Thedifference is that fragmentationspecifies two parts each growing into complete organisms, but regenerationis simply a general process of regrowth.

The breaking up of the body of a simple multicellular organism into two or more parts where each part(or fragment) grows to form a new organism.
Example- Spirogyra
The process of getting g anew organism from tis body parts is called a s regeneration.
Example- Planaria
