whenever an object falls towards the earth an acceleration is involved.this acceleration is due to earths gravitational force.therefore, this acceleration is called acceleration due to the gravitational force of the earth.it is denoted by g.tis unit is m/s^2 and its value is 9.8m/s^2.
G is the constant of proportionality and is called the universal gravitation constant.its unit is Nm^2/kg^2.its value is 6.673*10^-11 Nm^2/kg^2
