Answer:

Difference between Vapor and Gas

Vapor is a mixture of two or more different phases at room temperature, these phases are liquid and gaseous phase. Gas usually contains a single thermodynamic state at room temperature. Vapour has a definite shape of the gaseous particles when observed under a microscope.

Answer:

Gas and vapour both come in the same state of matter that is gases. But the difference is that vapour is variable but gas is not.

Explanation:

  • Actually gas is taken in the composition of atmosphere but water vapour is not.
  • Gas is non evaporated therefore it will not condense to form liquid however it can only change to liquid when applied a lot of pressure.

Example - oxygen can only turn into liquid

when a atmospheric pressure of 186atm is

applied to it.

But water vapour can be brought back to its initial state by the process of condensation.

  • Also gases sometimes may have odour(example - ozone) or may have some colour(example - smoke) but vapour has no colour or odour.

Hope this makes you clear and talented enough so that you can it answer with full potential.☺
