Map is a very broad term that can refer to any image that depicts a location, while a [world] globe is pretty specific to depicting an image of a world map on a sphere.

At the most basic level, you can identify a globe by it’s spherical (ball) shape. A globe could also be classified as a map as it has a map printed on it, but generally a ‘map’ refers to an image that points out a location or represents an area. One could call a globe a spherical map
