Answer: Noble gases have a filled valence shell. They are full, they are completely stable, these are placed in group 18 in the periodic table, they do not crave for any more electrons. They are happy and content. So, these don’t want to change their state of satisfaction, and hence very RARELY react. Most of the noble gases do not react at all, reaction involves formation and breaking of bonds, which in turn involves a give and take of electrons. Noble gases neither want to lose nor gain electrons. Hence they are least reactive in nature.
