Basically, there are no differences between heliotropism and phototropism.

- Heliotropism is a movement of plant body where the environmental stimulation for the movement is the sunlight.

- And, phototropism is a movement of plant body where the environmental simulation for the movement is light source.

- Now,the sunlight is also a type of light source.

- That's why in late 19th century the heliotropism was renamed into phototropism. And,in the present time heliotropism and phototropism are the same thing.
